Asian Wander Women now has 2,200 members worldwide

Hi friends,

upon logging into our Substack, we realized we had a couple of new subscribers and wanted to share that we’ve since then moved to Beehiiv, with an archive of weekly newsletters detailing opportunities, events, summits, and our new business collective for solopreneurs. We moved here if you’d like to check it out.

Since our last post in 2023:

• we’re hosted a travel and business summit in Taipei, Taiwan

• hit the 2,200 member mark in our Facebook group

• started a new business collective for solopreneurs to meet, learn, and thrive together

• found a board of directors who have been supportive and crucial to the growth of our community

• will be planning an end of year retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand

We still:

• share remote and contract opportunities in our newsletters

• personally and manually vet each member into our Facebook group to ensure quality and real members

• plan meetups and events globally

• hang out with our overseas friends, check up on them, and plan travel trips together

It’s funny how social media skews our perception of success. We so easily view the celebrations and wins of other people, but rarely do we get to see the failures, the mistakes, and the learnings from building a business.

I can attribute building AWW to growing a beloved bonsai tree. Slow, with love and care, and careful attention without suffocating it too much. It’s only been 3 years since, and we’re still growing and learning.
